The Cubs finally got their revenge against the Dodgers and were able to beat them by a landslide in their fourth meeting of the season after the defending champions had taken the first three games.

The Cubs' offense had been on an upward trend, scoring the most runs and stealing the most bases by far, but in Game 1 they were completely dominated by Yamamoto.

However, the offense refused to give up their momentum. In the final stretch of Game 2, they opened the scoring by scoring 5 runs against the Dodgers in the seventh inning, 4 in the eighth, and another 5 in the ninth, forcing Rojas to pitch to avoid further exhausting his bullpen in one of the most lopsided Cubs routs in recent years.

With this, the Cubs reached 10 wins in 2025, and Sunday's game will be the decisive game of the primetime series, where the Brown-Glasnow pitching duel seems to be more beneficial to the Dodgers.
