The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs meet again on Friday to begin a new three-game series over the weekend at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers stopped the bleeding as they arrested a four-game slide with 6-5 win over the Washington Nationals on Wednesday. Teoscar Hernandez chipped three RBIs after recording a two-run homer in the first inning and the game-winning one-run single in the 7th inning. Los Angeles still own the best record in the NL West at 10-4.
The Cubs have won three of their last five, though they dropped their last game against the Texas Rangers 2-6 in Wednesday’s series finale. After almost three weeks since their two-game series in Japan, Chicago now has better batting numbers then Dodgers, averaging .250 with 96 runs.
