Once again, the Cubs, thanks to solid starts from their starters, are back on a winning streak, having won four of their last five games. They snapped the Brewers' hot streak at Wrigley Field and now took Game 1 of their series against the Angels, winning 3-2.

Finally, another home run came for Kyle Tucker, the Cubs' slugger who had lowered his numbers and the blistering pace with which he had started the season. His home run in the win against the Angels was his first since his last one on July 19 against the Red Sox. But Suzuki also appeared, with a sacrifice fly that leaves him 13 runs shy of reaching 100 RBIs for the year. The Cubs' third star, Crow-Armstrong, couldn't be missed, hitting a home run in the ninth inning to break the tie in Chicago's favor.

The Angels didn't have any stars on Friday, with Neto going 0-for-4 and Trout going 0-for-3, but Moncada did, hitting a pair of home runs, two of the three hits the Halos had all night.
