The Chicago Cubs hold a 48-33 record after finishing a four-game set against the Cardinals with a split, posting results of 2-8, 7-8, 8-0, and 3-0. They'll continue their road trip on Friday, where they've been decent but not dominant, sitting four games over .500 away from home.
Before facing St. Louis, the Cubs dropped two of three games to the Mariners and split a brief two-game series with the Brewers. They've gone 3-3 over their last six contests and currently lead the NL Central.

For Chicago, Cade Horton gets the call. The right-hander had a rough outing his last time out but has otherwise impressed in his first MLB season.
