The Carolina Hurricanes take on the Vegas Golden Knights, and they likely wish that they could take on the Western power in the playoffs. The Hurricanes have mostly owned this matchup, but they’ve never gotten a chance to show it when it matters, because they keep running into either the Panthers or the Rangers.
Against the Golden Knights, Carolina has simply been able to play its game and take control. The Hurricanes have done exactly that in the early parts of this season as well, comfortably winning night after night in 2025. Carolina is off to a 5-0 start, and only twice has the game even been close. Part of that could be because the Ducks and Sharks are among the weakest teams in the league again, but their record is what it is, and the Hurricanes are looking strong.
