Carolina Hurricanes vs Nashville Predators Prediction & Picks - NHL

The Carolina Hurricanes (21-9-2) will head into Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday night and try to take yet another game from the Nashville Predators (13-15-4). The two teams met just over a week ago in Carolina, and the Canes came out on top with a 6-3 victory. The game was not even as close as the final score indicates, as the Canes were leading 6-1 midway through the 3rd period.

After that loss, the Predators bounced back with back-to-back wins over Colorado and St. Louis. Oddly enough, they played those same 2 opponents again in their last two games and dropped one to Colorado while topping the Blues in their rematch. Overall, for December, the Predators have been playing well and carry a 5-2 mark as they head into this rematch with the Canes.

For Carolina, they lost their very next game to the Sharks 4-1. However, since that loss, they have been on fire and won 4 straight games. Their last 3 wins over Washington and twice against Philadelphia have all come via the shootout. It is not where every team likes to have games decided, but the Canes seem to be comfortable if the game gets to that point.

The hot Predators will look to exact some revenge over the visiting Canes in this matchup. Hopefully for the Predators’ sake, it does not get to shootouts.
