Canada take on the Republic of Ireland in Montreal on Friday evening in their final game of next week's 2026 FIFA World Cup. 

It has been a largely successful build up to the tournament for Canada. They have lost just one of their last 10 matches, whilst the weekend victory over Uzbekistan means that Jesse Marsch's side have conceded just two goals in over 600 minutes of play. Key defender Alophonso Davies is the big injury absence for Canada, but Marsch remains hopeful that the Bayern Munich full back will be fit in time for the Group B clash with Qater on June 18th. 

Ireland failed to qualify for the World Cup, after crashing out on penalties to the Czech Republic in the UEFA playoff semi finals. Nevertheless, Heimir Hallgrímsson's side are in solid form, winning five and drawing two of their last seven matches.
