Second bottom Burnley will be looking to snap a four game losing run when they entertain Crystal Palace at Turfmoor on Wednesday evening.
As has been the case in the majority of their matches this season, the Clarets were competitive in their weekend clash at Brentford. But ultimately, their lack of overall quality proved decisive as they slumped to a 3-1 defeat, their ninth loss of what is turning into an extremely difficult campaign.
Palace also suffered defeat at the weekend, as a lethargic second half display saw them slump to a 1-2 home loss against Manchester United. The current big issue for Palace boss Oliver Glasner is juggling his side's European commitments with a jam-packed Premier League fixture list. At present, it appears that Palace do not have the squad depth to compete on both fronts, so January reinforcements will be needed if the Eagles want to replicate last season's heroics.

Our Burnley vs Crystal Palace Prediction
Palace looked flat at the weekend, but we still think they will have enough quality to get past a Burnley side that simply doesn't have the quality to compete with the best teams in the Premier League.
French striker Jean-Philippe Mateta was Palace's best player at the weekend. Not only did he find the net from the penalty spot, but he also threatened the United goal on numerous other occasions in the first half.
Given his electric form, plus Burnley's poor defensive record, we are tipping Mateta to score in a routine Palace win.
Our prediction for Burnley vs Crystal Palace is: Palace to win and Jean-Philippe Mateta first goalscorer.
