The Sixers had all three of their stars playing together against the reigning champions in the continuation of what has been a losing season so far. The Sixers are hoping the All-Star break will mark a turning point, but in their first game back from the break with the rare combination of George, Embiid and Maxey, it didn't work out and they lost at Wells Fargo Center by 20 points to the Celtics, in a game where the visiting team had a 29-point Biggest lead and the handicap on the champions was just -6.5.
For a team that seemed built to compete for the title at the start of the season, doubts are growing as to whether they can even sneak into the playoffs. Of course, having given up 24 three-pointers to the Celtics and having shot 20% from long range is not encouraging.
