The Brooklyn Nets (1-8) visit the New York Knicks (5-3) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Sunday, November 9, at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks put their perfect home start on the line after back-to-back Garden blowouts, including a 137-114 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 6. They actually trailed entering the second half, but a back-to-back 40-point quarter sealed the win for the Knicks.
OG Anunoby topscored for the Knicks with 25 points on 58.8% shooting, while All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson stuffed the stat sheet with 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists.
New York has been one of the best offensive teams in the league. Through eight games, they've produced a 120.5 offensive rating, ranking them fourth.
Meanwhile, the Nets are coming off a 125-107 loss to the Detroit Pistons. A massive third quarter performance from the Pistons ultimately spelled the loss for the Nets.
Despite the loss, Michael Porter Jr. still came through with a team-high 28 points built on five three-pointers. Noah Clowney and Nic Claxton added 19 and 17 markers, respectively.
Things would be more challenging for the helpless Nets, as they'll be missing the services of scoring guard Cam Thomas for at least three weeks.
