West Ham face a tricky trip to high flying Brighton on Sunday, as they attempt to boost their chances of avoiding relegation from the top flight.
Thursday's hard fought 1-1 draw at Manchester United means that the Hammers have lost just one of their last five Premier League games. However, results elsewhere left them two points from safety, and with a tough run of fixtures coming up before the new year, Hammers' boss Nuno Espirito Santos will be desperate to take at least a point from the weekend trip to the South Coast.
Brighton's midweek 3-4 defeat to Aston Villa was their first lose at the Amex this season. Despite that reverse, the Seagulls are still enjoying a solid season and currently sit just two points outside the Champions League places. With the likes of Danny Welbeck, Yankiba Minteh and Jan Paul Van Hecke all enjoying fine campaigns, Brighton boss Fabian Hürzeler will be confident that his side can stay in the European hunt for the rest of the campaign.
