On Wednesday evening, there are five Premier League fixtures taking place, one of which involves Brighton hosting head-of-the-table Arsenal at Amex Stadium.
Going two matches undefeated, returning to scoring ways, Brighton have regained their footing in the table following a few rocky games, both in terms of goal scoring and results. They’ve built the necessary momentum required to take on a very structured Arsenal side.
This won’t be an easy task for The Seagulls if they’re aiming for victory, oh no, but this doesn’t mean that they won’t find chances in front of a home crowd where they typically succeed in locating the net.
Plus, they are hosting an Arsenal side that has let their guard down defensively in their most recent games, allowing goals in all of their last four league games, conceding two goals against the worst offensive side in the whole league (Wolves).

Our Brighton vs Arsenal Prediction
Brighton aren’t the best at the back, but they do have some strength moving forward. As a result, three-quarters of their home games have witnessed goals at both ends. In their encounters with the top six to date, home and away, Hurzeler’s boys have netted in six out of eight.
More importantly, this includes the reverse fixture at the Emirates, which isn’t easy to do. They haven’t retained a single clean sheet in these eight games. Their only two relevant home games so far, against Aston Villa and Man City, were very open, consisting of ten goals in total (3-4 and 2-1).
When it comes to The Gunners, it is unsurprising to see that they haven’t failed to score in their seven away games of this nature, whilst also giving away goals in five. Ultimately, I think the early market is underestimating the chance of both teams scoring in this meeting.
