With a narrow 1-0 scoreline, Arsenal beat Ipswich Town in their last game of 2024. However, the Gunners' control of that game was almost total as the Tractor Boys did not shoot on goal in a single opportunity. Now, again in London but at the Community Stadium Arenal will play against Brentford in a game scheduled for a strange January 1st.

Arsenal dominated but will still miss Buyako Saka, who was largely responsible for many of Arsenal's successes in 2024. The Englishman, due to a hamstring injury, will miss at least two months of action.

That same day that Arsenal won at the Emirates Stadium, Brentford drew goalless at the Amex Stadium against Brighton. Once again the bees failed to add 3 points as visitors, and it could be argued that the draw was undeserved as the seagulls shot 16 times more than Brentford.
