On Thursday, the series that will garner the most bets and have the greatest impact heading into the playoffs will be the one between the eternal rivals, the Red Sox and the Yankees.

It seems that Boone's team survived the rough waves of the 2025 season. After losing three straight series to start August and inexplicably teetering on the edge of the playoffs, the Yankees recovered Judge from his injury at just the right time and won the next three series against the Twins, Cardinals, and Rays, sweeping the latter two.

With that, the Yankees return to Yankee Stadium to face the Red Sox, having won four in a row and recovered in the standings, and in the game they won 13-3 against the Rays, the Yankees tied their record with nine home runs in the victory.

The opposite is true for the Red Sox, who are off to a great start in August but are coming off a devastating loss to the Orioles at Fenway Park, leaving the bases loaded more than twice.
