The Boston Red Sox (53-43 SU, 44-52 ATS) continue their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers (57-41 SU, 48-50 ATS) looking to keep their momentum rolling. Quietly, the Red Sox have made their way back into the mix for the playoffs by picking up series wins each time out, winning eight of their past nine series. Only San Diego has managed to win a series off Boston since June 9, going 20-10 in that stretch.
The Dodgers might be heading in the other direction, and the pitching and defense seems to be the blame. Los Angeles’ 4-1 win over Boston on Friday marked the first time in 16 games that the Dodgers held an opponent to fewer than three runs.
