The Boston Red Sox will start a three-game series with the White Sox at Rate Field in Chicago today. The first pitch for the game is scheduled for 7:40 p.m. EST, and coverage is available via CHSN+.

Boston was able to stop their losing streak at three games and avoid getting swept by the Blue Jays with a 4-3 win in Boston last night. The Red Sox got 6 1/3 innings (four hits, one run, one walk, seven strikeouts) out of Walker Buehler. Buehler didn’t factor into the decision, but Boston won in ten, 4-3. The struggle continued for the White Sox on Thursday as the Indians completed the sweep with a 6-1 victory, dropping the White Sox to 2-10 on the season. Chicago will turn to Davis Martin with the hope that the young righty can lead to a win and end the losing streak at eight. However, while Martin had a solid outing in his first start (six innings, four hits, two runs), he got shelled in his second (five innings, nine hits (including two home runs), and seven earned runs. Boston is giving the ball to Sean  Newcomb; he’s been hit pretty hard so far, giving up 14 hits in 8 2/3 innings spread across two starts.
