The Boston Red Sox will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard today in the second game of their three-game weekend series vs. the Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Chicago won the series opener yesterday, 4-1. The Cubs got on the board with a three-run shot in the bottom of the first and never looked back. The first pitch for today’s contest is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. EST, and the game will be broadcast on FOX.

If the pitching matchup is any indication, this could be a tight one today. Boston is giving the ball to Brayan Bello to start the day. Bello has gone 6-3 in 16 starts with a 3.14 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and .243 OBA. Somehow, he has managed to pitch only four games on the road, but has a 1-1 record in those games with a 2.95 ERA and .235 OBA. In three July starts, all at home, which include a complete game, he has a 2.21 ERA. Chicago is going with Shota Imanaga. He is also 6-3 but in 12 starts and with a 2.65 ERA, .93 WHIP, and .192 OBA. However, in five home starts, he is 2-1 with a 4.61 ERA and .216 OBA. In three July starts, he has a 2.92 ERA; he won his last home game (vs. Cleveland, July 2) after giving up four hits (three of them home runs) and three earned runs.
