Baltimore Orioles vs Boston Red Sox Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles will play the 2nd game of their 4-game series this evening in Baltimore. Former Oriole Adley Rutschman was the story in game one of the series. He went yard twice to help the Sox defeat his former team, 6-5.

The Red Sox are firmly planted in the 2nd wild-card spot. They lead the Cleveland Guardians by 5.5 games but trail the Yankees by 4.5 for the top wildcard spot. They have lost 6 of their last 9 games and lost both of their latest series. They will turn to Ranger Suarez tonight as they look to take a 2-game lead in the series with the Orioles. He will need a much better outing than his last one. He was rocked by the Yankees for 6 runs on 9 hits in 5.1 innings and picked up his 4th loss of the season.

The Orioles have had their struggles lately as well. They are currently in the midst of a 3-game losing streak, having lost their last 2 of their series with the Rockies and then losing last night to the Red Sox. That said, they had won 4 straight games prior to the current losing streak, and their pitcher tonight, Shane Baz, was one of those winning pitchers. He will look to pick up his 2nd win in a row as he takes the mound tonight.
