Baltimore Orioles vs Boston Red Sox Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Boston Red Sox are scheduled to face the Baltimore Orioles in a four-game series this week. Game One of the series is today at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, and it’s scheduled to get underway at  6:35 p.m. EST. Boston comes into the series fresh off winning three of four games against the Yankees in New York to improve to 71-60. However, they are still five games back of Toronto in the AL East and only have a one-game cushion securing their spot as a wild card team. Baltimore is not mathematically eliminated from the postseason, but they are 9.5 games back for the final wild card slot.

The Red Sox appear to be going with a bullpen approach today and have Brennan Bernardino scheduled to start.  Bernardino has a 4-2 record in 49 appearances (one start) with a 2.93 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and a .196 OBA. He has gone 1-1 on the road in 23 appearances with a 3.0 ERA and .200 OBA in 21 innings. As for the Orioles, Tomoyuki Sugano is scheduled to start. Sugano has a 10-5 record in 24 starts with a 3.97 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a .262 OBA. In 12 home starts, he has gone 7-2  with a 3.95 ERA and .257 OBA.
