We should be in for a fun series here as the Atlanta Braves (20-12) play hosts to the Boston Red Sox (19-16). Boston just snapped a 3-game losing streak on Sunday with a 9-2 win over the Minnesota Twins. Atlanta is looking to snap a 3-game losing streak of their own after getting swept by the Dodgers over the weekend. They were outscored 20-6 during that series and never scored more than 3 in a game. Kutter Crawford (2-1, 1.56) and Reynaldo Lopez (2-1, 1.50) will face off and could make this game a quick one. Both pitchers have been off to great starts this season. Crawford has struck out 40 while walking 13 and Lopez has fanned 31 while walking just 10 batters. Crawford is coming off 7 innings against the Giants where he allowed 2 runs on 4 hits. Lopez had his shakiest start in his last outing when he allowed 3 runs over 5 innings. Both will have their hands full as they will be facing lineups that rank inside the top 10 in combined average and on base percentage. The Braves do hold the advantage in combined ERA as they lead the majors at 2.61. This game may come down to which team can get to the bullpen first.

We are backing the pitcher we feel more confident in and that is the youngster Kutter Crawford. The Braves are still licking their wounds after being swept by LA and are not going to be in the best frame of minds to face this ace. The BoSox have been dominate in Atlanta over their last 15 meetings in Truist Park and that should continue here. Look for Devers to factor into this one as he did in his last game. He was 2-5 with a homer on Sunday and he is .455 in his career against Lopez.
