The Raptors will try to get win No. 10 tonight when they host the Boston Celtics at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. The action is scheduled to get underway at 7:30 p.m. ET. As could be expected, since we are talking about one of the league’s best teams (Boston) taking on one of the worst (Toronto), the visiting team is a 12.5-point favorite.
This contest will be the third meeting for these two teams this season. Both prior games were in Boston and won by the Celtics, one by three points and the other 54. Boston enters the game fresh off a one-point win over the Pelicans at home. Toronto is also coming off a home win, having taken down the Golden State Warriors 104-101 on Monday. Toronto fans are likely hoping that the close win over Golden State is a sign that maybe the turn-around is finally happening. They’ll be hoping to see their team win back-to-back games for the first time since early December.
But if they are going to pull off an epic upset of one of the best teams in the NBA, they’ll have to do so without the help of one of their better players. Immanuel Quickley has been ruled out.
