The San Antonio Spurs (47-17, 24-6 Home) will try to keep the good times rolling at home when they take on the Boston Celtics at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, TX, Tuesday night. Fans can follow the action on NBC when the game gets underway at 8 p.m. EST.
San Antonio has been enjoying a good run since their loss to the Knicks in New York to open the month. They rebounded quickly a couple of nights later with a dominant win over the 76ers in Philadelphia, 131-91. Last Thursday, they returned home to face the Detroit Pistons and got their second win in a row (121-106). A third win (116-112) followed the next night when the Clippers came to town. They last played on Sunday against the visiting Houston Rockets, making it four consecutive wins, 145-120. It was also their eighth consecutive win at home. As for the Celtics, Boston has closed the gap on the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons to 2.5 games after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday night, 109-98. It was their second win in a row and fifth in their last six games.
This will be the second of two scheduled meetings between the Celtics and Spurs this season. San Antonio won the first, in Boston, 100-95.

Boston is a solid road team (22-11), but the Spurs are one of the best home teams in the NBA at 24-6. San Antonio has a size advantage inside, which will likely force the Celtics to take a few more perimeter shots. If they can get hot from three-point range, San Antonio could be in trouble. But between home court advantage, an elite defense, and a slightly more productive offense, I’m taking the Spurs to win a close one at home.
