After having to suffer through both extra time and penalties, Bosnia and Herzegovina crucially need to regroup for the final straight this Tuesday as they welcome an Italy side that won in regular time. One player who really stands out for me for the hosts is Ermedin Demirovic, who rates as a great bet to register a shot on target.
Whilst they will be more fatigued and less rested than their opponents, The Dragons don’t really have any other option than to fight in this game. Being in front of a home crowd is pivotal, where they have really excelled in recent games, as well as giving it a good go against bigger teams.
Since 2024, Bosnia and Herzegovina have scored at home against Germany, The Netherlands and Austria, proving they are capable in tricky games. Demirovic found the net in their final UEFA Nations League game against The Netherlands, on home soil.
Italy were simply outplayed by group-leaders Norway in the main qualifying group stage, winning all but their two meetings against the Scandinavian team. However, their away performances showed more weakness defensively, which could be exploited by a team that have netted in all of their last 11 fixtures now.

Our Bosnia Herzegovina vs Italy Prediction
Missing a couple of their final main-stage meetings due to injury, Demirovic slotted right back into place in their last game in Wales, creating four goal attempts with two finding the target.
The forward is scoring regularly for Stuttgart - ranking as their second highest goalscorer, despite having played much less - and in all competitions for club and country, Demirovic has produced 15 goal attempts in his last six appearances.
What’s more, when Demirovic has played for his nation in their last nine home matches, he has recorded at least one goal attempt. So, it’s hard to ignore the fact he’s arriving at this important clash in great shooting form and typically places himself in key positions, so much so the early odds for this bet are extremely appealing.
Our Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Italy Pick: Ermedin Demirovic 1+ Shots on Target.
