Goffin advanced to the second round of the 2025 Shanghai Masters with a 6-7, 6-1, 6-1 win over Alexandre Muller of France in the first round. The 34-year-old Goffin has won 3 of his last four matches, bumping his hard-court record in 2025 to 9-14.

After rehabbing his shoulder for almost three weeks, Ben Shelton arrived in Shanghai looking to collect more ranking points and strengthen his position for the ATP Tour Finals.
Goffin isn’t going to be an easy foe for Shelton. The Belgian upset Shelton earlier this year in Acapulco and he will try to do it again in Shanghai.
When healthy, Shelton is a no-brainer moneyline pick. He has lost only 8 times in 31 hard-court matches this year and carries a 29-17 record against the ATP top-100. Goffin, meanwhile, is 1-4 against the top-10 players on the tour and only 3-4 in the second-round matches in 2025.
