Belal Muhammad (24-3-0) will put his UFC welterweight title on the line when he faces Jack Della Maddalena (17-2-0) at UFC 315 in Montreal, Quebec. It’s the first time Muhammad is defending his crown, and he looks really confident. Belal recently assured his fans on social media that he’ll “break” this fight in three rounds despite not being a good finisher. He’s undoubtedly one of the best pound-for-pound UFC fighters and has been amazing since his debut in 2016.
Jack Della Maddalena, on the other hand, will be keen to take his chance to fight for gold on May 15. JDM was initially scheduled to fight Edwards at UFC London in March. However, he got his title shot after Rakhmonov was injured, meaning the reigning champion needed a new challenger. The Australian knockout artist is coming off a KO win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 299. This is his fourth KO/TKO win since his UFC debut in January 2022.

This will undoubtedly be an exciting matchup, with Jack Della Maddalena eager to prove himself against one of the very best in the game. JDM has not tasted defeat in the UFC and is known for finishing his opponents early. In fact, the fight ended in the first round in four of his eight UFC bouts. However, he cannot expect a walkover against the more experienced “Remember the Name,” who has fought better opponents, such as Edwards, Brady, and Burns. Belal is a more conservative fighter who ends 75% of his fights via decision. Maybe he’ll change that in his first title defense. Still, we expect this fight to last at least three rounds.
