Corbin Burnes as mostly been as reliable as it comes for Baltimore. He’s been the winning pitcher in five of his past six starts, he hasn’t left the game before the end of the sixth inning and the Orioles have won seven of his past eight. That includes last time he faced Seattle, where he fanned 11 in a 6-3 win over the Mariners.
Bryce Miller hasn’t been anywhere near as consistent for Seattle. He has shown flashes of getting the job done, such as holding Cleveland to two earned runs in an 8-5 win against one of the top teams in the American League. But he hasn’t made it past the fifth inning in three of his past five starts, and the Mariners lost all three of them. With how Baltimore hits, Miller isn’t likely to pitch for a long time. And if Burnes throws his usual strong game, it’s hard to see Seattle winning this game in the later innings. Our prediction for Baltimore vs. Seattle is for the Orioles to win.
