The New York Mets (65-60) took game one of their 3-game series with the Baltimore Orioles (73-53) on Monday evening 4-3. With the game tied in the 9th, Francisco Alvarez hit a walk-off home run off Seranthony Dominguez. David Peterson of the Mets went 7 innings, allowing just 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 8. JD Martinez hit an early 2-run home run to break out of his 13-game streak of no homers. We were on the over in that game which fell just 2 runs short of the total and tonight has an even more favorable matchup for the over. Dean Kremer (5-9, 4.48) will go for the Orioles in this one. He is coming off 6 innings against the Nationals where he allowed just 1 run on 5 hits. He had given up 9 runs in his previous 9.1 innings. The Mets will have Jose Quintana (6-8, 4.36) on the mound. Quintana has had a rough go in his last 3 starts. He has given up a combined 12 runs over 15.2 innings. He lasted just 4 innings in his latest start which came against the A’s. He gave up 4 runs on 7 hits while walking 4 to his 1 strikeout.
