Alvarez went 2-for-3 and put the Astros ahead in the first game of their weekend series against the Orioles, but Baltimore still rallied to win.
The Orioles took the first game of the series against the Astros in Houston; the clutch hitter was Tyler Ward, who drove in Rutschman with his seventh home run of the year.
