Don Granato's team will attempt to secure a second consecutive win. After a tough three-game stretch, the Americans' offense exploded on Monday against Hungary, leading to a 7-3 victory. Pittsburgh Penguins forward Tommy Novak had a special outing with five assists.
Austria was off on Monday following a back-to-back set over the weekend. After a great start to the tournament, the team took heavy beatings in three consecutive games. They lost their last game 5-2 to Finland.
