On Sunday evening, there's a huge Major League Soccer fixture due to take place at Q2 Stadium, where Austin FC and the Seattle Sounders will clash. This is a game between two teams that are desperately trying to cling to top-seven positions. For the visitors, a top-seven finish looks likely, but after their defeat in Miami during the week, they're not as secure as they once were, meaning that Brian Schmetzer's men could really do with a win here. Collecting three points in Austin would certainly allow them to breathe more easily ahead of the regular-season run in.
As far as the hosts are concerned, a win isn't just something that would help, a win is essential. Right now, they do find themselves sitting in the top seven, but they're just two points clear of the Rapids, and if they lose here, their postseason position becomes far less certain. This is definitely a game that both teams will want to win, so we should see a front-footed approach from both, and I'm just not convinced that the early market is considering this enough. After all, both teams have been in decent scoring form of late, so they should both fancy themselves to score goals at Q2 Stadium, where the hosts have both scored and conceded in each of their last three, with a total of ten goals going in during that time. That's an average of 3.33 goals per game. It's also been high-scoring stuff for the Sounders of late, with the visitors offering plenty in the final third yet not so much at the back.
