This Saturday in LaLiga, we have a very interesting clash between two teams that are in very healthy form at the moment. Atletico Madrid, who have won their last three on the bounce, welcome Madrid peers Getafe, a side that has the best last-five form in the entire league, to Metropolitano Stadium.
In all competitions, the hosts have won five out of their last six, a very strapping record indeed. This includes their last two on the bounce, both on home turf with multiple goals both scored and conceded. They played in Europe in the week, though this was a fairly comfortable task against a poor Tottenham team. Saturday will be their third consecutive game on home soil.
Getafe have had slightly longer to rest, which bodes well considering they’re coming here on the back of two fantastic results against top teams, including their most recent away game against Real Madrid.
In their last five, Getafe have been victorious in four - three of these facing top-five teams - allowing them to dip into the top half. In fact, they are only five points off of the top six, slightly uncharted territory for the visitors. They are in very healthy form right now, and should have increased confidence in this difficult game.
