Atlanta Hawks vs Brooklyn Nets Prediction & Picks - NBA

The Brooklyn Nets (0-4) host the Atlanta Hawks (1-3) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Wednesday, October 29, at Barclays Center.

The Nets look to snap their skid at home after a rough opening week. Most recently, they fell 137-109 to the Houston Rockets, their fourth straight loss. They gave up 42 points to the Rockets in the first quarter and never recovered from that. 

Aside from their atrocious defense, the Nets also struggled mightily on the offensive end. Michael Porter Jr topscored with 18 markers, but Cam Thomas can only muster nine points on 33.3% shooting. Big man Day'Ron Sharpe came off the bench to haul down a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The Hawks, meanwhile, has dropped two straight since a road win in Orlando. They lost, 128-123, to the Chicago Bulls on Monday. 

Veteran center Kristaps Porzingis led the charge for the Hawks with 27 points on 64.7% shooting, while Jalen Johnson added 25 markers. Star point guard Trae Young dropped a double-double of 21 points and 17 assists, but only shot 31.8% from the field.

Brooklyn’s injury report includes Haywood Highsmith (out, knee surgery recovery) and Ziaire Williams (questionable, back/glute), per ESPN. For Atlanta, Jalen Johnson and Zaccharie Risacher are both listed probable, as they're dealing with respective ankle injuries.
