After going 4-5 on their recent road trip, the San Diego Padres (39-37, 19-19 Home) will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard tonight when they host the Atlanta Braves in the first game of a three-game series at Petco Park. The game will be the finale of MLB’s Monday schedule, with First Pitch scheduled for 10 p.m. EST, with coverage provided by MLB.TV.

Atlanta will be looking to get back on the right side of the scoreboard as well after dropping the series finale to the Brewers in Milwaukee Sunday, 9-4.

San Diego is scheduled to give Michael King the start. King is 4-6 in 15 starts with a 3.60 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. He is 2-3 in eight home starts with a 3.30 ERA and a .216 OBA. In 66-career at-bats against the Braves, King held them to a .242 BA, striking out 20 and giving up just one home run (to Ozzie Albies).

As for the Braves, Atlanta is expected to start Grant Holmes. Holmes has gone 4-3 in 14 starts with a 4.33 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP. In six starts on the road, he is 1-0 with a 4.40 ERA and a .237 OBA.
