While the Braves are slight underdogs in this matchup, they seem to have the advantage when it comes to the pitching matchup. Lopez is coming off his best season at the Major League level in 2024 and will look to continue that against a Padres side that has a ton of good bats.
As for Cease, he had a good, not great, 2024 season and will be facing an Atlanta lineup that is getting healthier. Atlanta is still missing Ronald Acuna Jr. but has the likes of Austin Riley, Matt Olson, and Michael Harris Jr. among others to lead their offense.
