The Braves boast the best record in MLB at 46 wins and 24 losses, and they'll surely be eager to continue making life difficult for the Mets, who remain mired in the NL East. Even so, a win on Sunday would be a welcome boost for the New Yorkers.

The Mets won the first game of the series in Queens 7-5. The truth is, the Mets are finally starting to see the fruits of their massive investments over the past two years. In Friday's victory, Bo Bichette hit two home runs, one of them a grand slam, and the $765 million man, Juan Soto, hit his 15th home run of the season.

In Game 2, the story was different, as veteran Braves pitcher Martín Pérez knew how to keep the Mets' bats in check. Bichette stayed hot, going 2-for-4, but only he and Soto had a multi-hit game. For the Braves, Eli White had a day to remember; he not only collected three hits, but one was a home run and the other two were doubles. The game unfolded perfectly for Raisel Iglesias to get the save opportunity in the ninth inning, and he took it, earning his 14th save of the year.
