There's another reason to lean hard into the under in this matchup: the pitchers. Tyler Glasnow has mostly been lights out in his starts this season, not giving up more than two runs in six of his seven starts. Other than one bad outing against Washington, he's been one of the most reliable pitchers in the NL. Bryce Elder struggled in the spring and started the year at Triple-A Gwinnett, but he seems to have gotten the message. Since that early hiccup, he's earned a 1.50 ERA in two major league starts.
The Braves keep hitting their unders in part because they boast the second-best bullpen in the National League. As long as Atlanta gets anything close to a decent effort from its starter and doesn't go over the top at the plate, the under is always in play for the Braves.
