Hurston Waldrep pitched six scoreless innings in yesterday’s 2-0 Atlanta victory. The Braves got the only run they needed in the fourth when a walk brought Ozzie Albies home. An insurance run in the ninth made the final score 2-0. Slade Cecconi will get the start for the Guardians. He is 5-5 this season in 15 starts with a 4.11 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and .252 OBA. Cecconi has not had his best stuff at home, where he has gone 1-2 in seven starts with a 4.79 ERA and a .259 OBA. His last home start was on July 28 vs. the Rockies; he threw seven innings, giving up six hits and three earned runs while striking out three. As for the Braves, Joey Wentz is scheduled to start.
