My first thought on this game was that Chicago has a slight advantage in the pitching matchup, but that no one has an advantage at the plate. Yes, Atlanta has been hitting better (.287 BA to .261). But the Cubs have averaged five runs a game to Atlanta’s 5.67. If recent history is any indication, Ritchie may be more of an “opener” than a starter. That means the Braves will likely be turning to their bullpen sooner rather than later. Since they have one of the top pens in baseball, I’m going to say advantage Braves.
