Arizona Diamondbacks vs Atlanta Braves Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Arizona Diamondbacks (45-47) look to avoid a 3-game losing streak tonight. They face the Atlanta Braves (51-39) in game three of their 4-game set. In game one, the DBacks led 3-1 heading into the 9th before Sean Murphy sent the game to extras on a 2-run homer off Paul Sewald. The game ended in the 11th on Marcell Ozuna’s sacrifice fly to give the Braves the 5-4 win. In game two, the Braves took a 5-0 lead in the top of the 6th and while the DBacks tried to battle back, including 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th but fell 6-2. The win gave Chris Sale his lead leading 12th win of the season. Charlie Morton (5-5, 3.96) will get the start for the Braves in game three. He took his 5th loss of the season against the Giants in his last start where he allowed 4 runs on 5 hits. This followed up his 6.1 innings of shutout work against the Pirates. The DBacks will go with Slade Cecconi (2-6, 6.10) who was knocked around for 5 runs on 8 hits in 4.2 innings of work against the Padres. That marked his 5th start of allowed at least 5 runs this season.
