Despite their Champions League victory, Xabi Alonso's Real Madrid are still struggling to escape their difficult slump, having gone more than a month without a league win and losing first place to Barcelona. To make matters worse, they must travel to San Mamés on Wednesday to face Athletic Club. The last time Real Madrid faced Los Leones at San Mamés, they lost 1-2; Bellingham scored for Los Blancos, while Berenguer and Guruzeta scored for Athletic.
