From a soccer point of view, it wasn't a happy new year for the Aston Villa boys, who were handed a serious beating on Tuesday, losing by four goals to zero away against Arsenal, who showed why they're sitting pretty at the top of the table. That was a first defeat in 12 games (in all competitions) for Unai Emery's men, who shouldn't have had their confidence dented too much.
