Arsenal will be aiming for 2026 to be as successful as the second half of 2025, which has them sitting atop the Premier League table. The Gunners remain the bookmakers' favorites to win their first English league title since 2004, but they'll be looking to shake off their reputation for faltering in crucial moments.

For now, Gunners fans erupted in joy after the victory that capped off 2025, a valuable 4-1 win against Aston Villa, which has left them trailing in the title race.

Arsenal defeated the Villans in the same manner they've won many of their matches. After a first half with few chances, Gabriel Magalhães scored from a corner, Arsenal's secret weapon, and then Zubimendi added a second goal four minutes later, rewarding the Londoners' high press. Ultimately, it was a comfortable 4-1 victory.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, are on a 10-game winless streak, but curiously, they beat Arsenal the last two times they faced each other.

At Stamford Bridge, to close out the year, Bournemouth put in a valiant effort against Chelsea. Brooks gave the Cherries the lead in the 6th minute, but by the 23rd minute, they were already trailing the Blues.

Kluivert leveled the score before halftime, but the second half was a barrage of crosses into the Bournemouth penalty area, from which they incredibly emerged unscathed. Even so, Arsenal's clinical finishing might not forgive them so easily on Saturday.
