A clash of two EPL titans as Champions Arsenal welcome Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium. This match is the highlight of this Premier League weekend and we could be in for an absolute classic! Both sides head into this one with 100% records as both the Gunners and the Blues have enjoyed winning starts to their campaigns. Arsenal's title defence has started off well, beating EPL new boys Coventry City in their opener, followed by a 1-0 away win at Aston Villa. Chelsea look like they'll be this season's entertainers. They've scored seven and conceded five in their opening two Premier League wins. Sandwich between victories against Fulham and Brighton was a 2-0 win against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup, making it three wins from three in all competitions.
Arsenal are yet to concede this season, but I think this is where that stat changes. Chelsea are scoring, and conceding, goals for fun and despite Arsenal having the best defensive record last season they'll be hard pressed to stop this Chelsea side who've been absolutely flying. The Gunners have had the upper hand against Chelsea in recent head-to-heads, winning the last three, but Xabi Alonso has reinvigorated the Blues. Derby days are often difficult to predict and it wouldn't be a surprise to me to see Alonso's side take something from this game.
For our prediction, though, we're looking at Goals markets. True, Arsenal's defence has been exceptional, but they're now up against a side who've scored plenty so far this season. Chelsea are in form, looking dangerous and so for us they'll get on the scoresheet at least once. Contrastingly, the Blues' defence has been poor, so Arsenal should find the net too.
