Two teams with similar records, the Diamondbacks' 46-49 record as of Saturday and the Angels' 46-48 record, will face off on Sunday in the game that concludes the weekend series. These are the closest betting odds on Sunday, with Arizona a slight favorite at -115 to take the game at Angel Stadium.

Returning for another start for the Angels is Jose Soriano, who has mixed good and bad outings of late: On June 21, he pitched 6.2 innings of one-run ball against the Astros; on June 27, he had the worst outing of his season and was pounded by the Nats, allowing 8 ERs; later in July 3, he recovered and pitched 7 scoreless innings against the Braves, most recently recording only 12 outs while allowing 5 ERs against the Rangers.

But Merrill Kelly will be the D-backs' pitcher. He has had less volatile outings than Soriano, neither as spectacular nor as bad, but he has struggled to keep the ball in the park. In fact, he has allowed one home run in each of his last five outings.
