The Arizona Diamondbacks will take on the Los Angeles Angels in a three-game weekend series. Game One is scheduled to get underway today at 9:38 p.m. EST at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA, on Apple TV.

Arizona comes into the series fresh off a trip to San Diego, where they went 2-2 in a four-game series. In the final game, the D-backs took an early lead with two runs in the top of the third, but then the Padres added one in the bottom of the third and fourth before taking the lead with a pair in the fifth. Arizona’s lineup scattered 13 hits over nine innings, but could only generate three runs. The Angels just split a four-game series with the Texas Rangers, losing 11-4 in the final game of the series yesterday.

Nelson has gone 5-2 in nine starts and 19 appearances with one save. He has a 3.39 ERA and a .98 WHIP. Teams are hitting .193 against him. However, he has struggled on the road, where he is 1-1 in eight starts with a 5.34 ERA and .178 OBA.
