It's been a September of ups and downs for the Diamondbacks, who are four games behind the Phillies, who currently hold the final wild card spot. Even so, Lovullo's team still has a mathematical chance and will go all out at Coors Field to try and sweep the last-place Rockies in the division.

On Sunday, the Mariners pulled off an epic 8-4 victory over the Yankees to take the series in the desert. The absolute highlight of the game was the crowd's eruption when the D-backs were down 2-4 and Arenado hit a grand slam to make it 6-4. Nootbaar also went 2-for-3, Marte 2-for-4, Moreno 2-for-3, and Perdomo 2-for-4 with a triple.

This made the D-backs the MLB team with the most comeback wins this year. Arenado himself cited this as the strongest proof that this team doesn't give up. The D-backs have won 4 of their last 7 games against the Rockies, but they haven't played in Colorado since May.
