The Rockies emerged as underdogs in the final two games of their series against the Diamondbacks. This was surprising, given that the D-backs were riding high on momentum after winning two games in the last inning against the Rangers in their previous series.

Saturday's game ended 10-7 in favor of the Rockies; this time they turned the game around on the D-backs. Colorado put together a six-run inning in the bottom of the eighth, where Doyle hit his 15th double, Farmer delivered an RBI single, and Tyler Freeman delivered the final blow with a two-run homer.

However, not even the Rockies' two wins at Coors Field could mitigate Ketel Marte's hot streak. The Dominican hit two home runs in the ninth inning in their previous series; The D-backs second baseman went 2-for-5 against the Rockies, giving Marte 10 hits since August 12.
