The pressure is on Angola on this third day of the Africa Cup of Nations. Egypt secured its place in the round of 16 with a victory over South Africa. For Angola, there was great disappointment at the end of the last 90 minutes as they failed to make the difference against Zimbabwe, a nation that was, on paper, inferior.
The surprise of the previous CAN, the black and red team will have to put in a top-notch performance on both sides of the field if they hope to beat the leader of Group B. Will the 2010 winner rest its key players to avoid the worst before the round of 16? We'll find out when the game kicks off, but it could have an impact on the final result.
One thing is certain: there will be tension at the Adrad Stadium in Agadir.

Angola has its back against the wall. A victory is essential at the end of 90 minutes, which would put an end to more than 30 years without a win against Egypt. The level of play is interesting, but the Palancas Negras' inability to keep a clean sheet is hampering the red and black team's ambitions. This explains the defeat against South Africa and the frustrating draw against Zimbabwe. The Angolans will have to be perfect on both sides of the field if they hope to qualify for the round of 16.
Will Egypt force its destiny to move up to fourth place after a friendly victory against Nigeria? That is the big question surrounding this match, as the Egyptians have already qualified for the final stages of the 2025-2026 Africa Cup of Nations. Lucky against South Africa but also solid, playing 10 against 11 for more than half the game, the Pharaohs have all the qualities necessary to go 3/3 in the group stage. We'll have to see what Hossam Hassan's team decides.
