Andrey Rublev of Russia will duke it out with Flavio Cobolli of Italy in Saturday's men’s singles final of the 2025 Hamburg Open.
Rublev advanced to the championship match after besting Felix Auger-Aliassime for the 7th time in 8 games, 6-1, 6-4. The Russian held all his serves and won 75 percent of his first serves to fashion out arguably the most convincing win over the Canadian. Rublev improved his 2025 clay-court record to 6-4, and more importantly, secured the chance to play for a title before he plunges into action at Roland Garros.
Cobolli edged Tomas Martin Etcheverry in a marathon match on Friday, 2-6 7-5 6-4. Cobolli fired 6 aces and won 39 points off his first serves. The Italian also recorded three breakpoints, including a massive service break in the 9th game that gave him a 5-4 lead and a serve in the deciding set.
