The Seattle Kraken (22-18-9) will play host to the visiting Anaheim Ducks (26-21-3) on Friday evening. This will be the 3rd meeting between the teams this season. Oddly enough, Seattle has won both previous meetings by the same score of 3-1. Joey Daccord stopped 35 of the 36 shots he faced in the season opener, while Phillip Grubauer outdid Daccord back in December with a 40-save night.
While the Kraken had two great wins over these Ducks on the season, lately, they have been playing some woeful hockey. They have lost 6 of their last 8 games and have allowed 13 goals over their last 3 games. They snapped a 4-game losing streak on Wednesday against the Islanders by picking up a 4-1 win. Grubauer had his best start in net since the new year with 24 saves on 25 shots.
The Ducks have been absolutely rolling lately. After starting 2026 with 5 straight losses, they have turned the corner and picked up 5 straight wins over their last 5 games. Their most recent win came in shootouts against the top team in the league, the Colorado Avalanche. During their win streak, they have been holding opponents to an average of just 1.6 goals per game.
